As part of Anti-Child Labour Day, the Labour Department, in association with Department of School Education and Literacy, has organised essay writing, speech and painting contests for children at Gumchi Government High School, Mysuru-Bengaluru Road here at 10 am tomorrow (June 6). The topic for essay & speech is ‘The role of education in eradication of child labour’ while for painting is ‘Say no to child labour : Need education.’ Students of 5th to 10th standards from select Government Schools can take part.
