Mysore/Mysuru: As a measure to check the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, the district administration has banned the entry of devotees to Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hill on Aug.13 and 20, both being a Friday.
In a press release, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bagadi Gautham said that the entry of devotees has been banned for the whole day on Aug.13 and 20 and after 6 pm on other days. However, the customary rituals can take place inside the temple in the presence of priests, officials and temple staff. VIPs and other officials on protocol duty of the Government, residents of Chamundi Hill and emergency service vehicles will be allowed to Chamundi hill during the banned days.
