The Women and Child Development Department has invited entries from talented children for presentation of ‘Makkala Pustaka Chandira’ Book Award (2024 - 2025).

Children can send their entries under 7 categories of Child Literature — self composed poem, collection of stories, plays, collection of science articles, translated work, critical review and novel — along with 4 copies of their work to: The Planning Officer, Karnataka Bala Vikasa Academy, behind Chandrika Layout, KHB Colony, Lakamanahalli, Dharwad-580004, before Feb.20.

The Academy has also invited entries from children for Bala Gourava for 2024-25 & 2025-26.

Children below 18 years of age, who have excelled/ achieved big in different fields at the National and International level, can send entries. Achievers in the fields of Sports, Music, Dance, Multifaceted talent, Acting, Painting and Science & Technology are eligible.

The prescribed entry forms can be obtained from Women and Child Development Department Office located at Shakti Bhavan, K.D. Circle, Vijayanagar 2nd Stage, Mysuru (Ph: 0821-2495432) and the same should be submitted along with supporting documents to Karnataka Balavikas Academy Office at Dharwad, the address of which is mentioned above, before Feb.20.
