Virajpet: Vanchira Vittal Nanaiah and Kullachanda Poonacha have been elected as President and Secretary respectively of Virajpet Kodava Samaja for 2019-2022 at the election held at the Samaja premises here. The two have been elected for the second time.
Other elected were Kuimanda Kiran as Vice-President, Allapanda Chinnappa as Death Fund Secretary, Kannambira Chinnappa as Sports Secretary, Konganda Tata Nanaiah, Koothanda Suresh Appaiah, Iychanda Vasu and Chendrimada Ganesh Nanjappa as Directors (City), Kotera Ganesh Thammaiah, Konganda Dharmaja Devaiah and Mewada Chinnappa as Directors (Rural) and Boverianda Asha Subbaiah, Mukkatira Damayanthi and Patrapanda Geetha Belliappa as representatives of women sector Advocate Mandepanda Dinesh officiated as Returning Officer. Out of 2,260 members 2,014 were eligible to vote.
