Renowned Scientist and Satish Dhwan award-winner Prof. Praveen C. Ramamurthy of Mysuru has been elected as a Fellow of National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI). Prof. Ramamurthy, serving as Professor at the Department of Materials Engineering, Indian Institute of Science (IISc.), Bengaluru, has been recognised for his outstanding contributions towards developing organic photovoltaics, sensors and ultra-thin EMI shielding coatings. He is a resident of Ramakrishnanagar and presently stays inside IISc. campus.
