The Department of Public Instructions Commissioner V. Anbukumar has directed the Department officials to sanction as per rules all statutory benefits to the families of teachers and other staff who died of the deadly COVID contagion. He has also asked the officials to update the Commissioner’s Office on the compensation sought by the families of COVID dead teachers and other Department staff who died while at work, in accordance with the rules.
