Dr. S. Ananthalakshmi (84), a resident of V.V. Mohalla here, passes away this morning.
After graduating from Mysore Medical College, Dr. Ananthalakshmi went to USA for her Post-Graduation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBGYN) at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. After completing her Fellowship, she practiced in New York and Upstate New York for a few years before coming back to India. She served at Kamakshi Hospital, Mysuru, before starting her private practice. She leaves behind her daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites will be held today in city.
