Mysore/Mysuru: The State Government on Monday transferred Mysuru District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. K.H. Prasad. He has been replaced by Dr. P.C. Kumaraswamy, who was serving at Chitradurga.
Dr. Prasad’s transfer comes just a couple of days after he was conferred the ‘Best District Health Officer’ award from the Government during the National Doctors Day celebration at Bengaluru on July 1. Dr. Prasad had taken charge as Mysuru DHO in June 2021, amidst the COVID pandemic. The transferred Dr. Prasad has been asked to report at the Office of the Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare Department at Bengaluru for new posting, it is learnt.
