Mysuru: Well-known Doctor, Dr. B. Ramana Rao, Founder of Grameena Aushadhalaya at T. Begur near Bengaluru, was conferred ‘Dr. C.N. Mruthyunjayappa Adarsha Vaidya Seva Award’ at a programme jointly organised by the city unit of Akhila Bharata Sharana Sahitya Parishat and Mysuru Kadali Mahila Vedike at Rajendra Bhavan in JSS Hospital premises here yesterday.
Speaking after receiving the award, Dr. Ramana Rao stressed on the need for young doctors to serve in rural areas and thus enhance their professional skills.
