Mysore/Mysuru: In a sudden move, the State Government on Wednesday appointed senior IAS Officer Dr. G. C. Prakash as the new Regional Commissioner (RC) of Mysuru Revenue Division. He will also function as the Special Officer monitoring COVID-19 tackling measures in all the eight districts of Mysuru Division ---- Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Chikkamagalur.
Dr. Prakash was earlier serving as BDA (Bangalore Development Authority) Commissioner in Bengaluru. He replaces N. Jayaram, who was earlier posted as the In-charge Mysuru RC.
