Mysuru: Nrupathunga Charitable Trust, National Human Rights and RTI Service Committee and Ursu Jagruthi Academy had organised a function titled ‘Dr. CPK avara 80ra Sambhrama’ to mark the 80th birthday of Littérateur Dr. C.P. Krishna Kumar (CPK), which also featured the release of two books at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road here on Monday.
Inaugurating the programme, former Vice-Chancellor Dr. K. Chidananda Gowda opined that the assistance of the Government is needed to come out with a comprehensive volume featuring all the literary works of Dr. CPK. He lauded the senior writer who has contributed immensely with quality literature. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. CPK recalled that final copy of the book is different from the draft copy, which literally amounted to two books and involved a lot of time. He expressed gratitude to late Dr. Dejagow couple for nurturing him when he first came to Mysuru.
