Alleging dowry harassment, a woman has lodged a complaint against her husband and his family at Women’s Police Station in city. The woman, identified as N.K. Divya, a resident of Ramakrishnanagar here, was married to one Sagar on Aug. 12, 2016 and Divya’s family had given Rs. 2 lakh cash and gold jewellery at the time of marriage.
It is learnt that Sagar, along with his family, was allegedly torturing and harassing Divya to bring more dowry from her home, following which she lodged a complaint against her husband Sagar, mother-in-law Kamalamma, family members Smitha and Shashidhar at the Women’s Police Station.
