Mysuru: Following the spread of messages in the Social Media such as Facebook and WhatsApp about children lifters, the Mysuru District Police have rubbished such news as false and have asked the public not to pay heed to such rumours.
Asking the public not to panic, the Police have issued warning to the public not to catch, tie up and assault those who are found moving in a suspicious manner, failing which legal action would be initiated against such persons who take law into their hands. A press release from Nanjangud Rural Police Station states that the Police have intensified their patrolling in villages and residential layouts and have asked the public to contact the following phone numbers if they come across suspicious persons in their surroundings.
