Mysuru: The Mysuru District Administration has decided to set up six Ethnic Booths at different places across Mysuru Lok Sabha constituency to attract tribal voters during this LS polls. The voting percentage in the previous Assembly polls had registered an increase of three percent in tribal areas and hilly dominated areas after such Booths were set up.
This year, the Ethnic Booths will be set up at Government Higher Primary School (Booth Number 221) in Mattur Colony (Rajiv Grama) and Abbalathi Government Higher Primary School (Booth No.230) of Periyapatna taluk; Lakkipattana Girijana Ashrama School (Booth No.252) and Nagapura Ashrama School (Booth No.261) of Hunsur taluk; Basavanagiri tribal hamlet’s Government Girijana Ashrama School (Booth No.57) and Penjahalli Colony Girijana Ashrama School (Booth No.136) of H.D. Kote taluk.
