This refers to the news item titled “Heritage Arch Gate of Government Guest House is tottering, Wake up MCC” in Star of Mysore dated June 15. I commend SOM for directly approaching the Ward 27 Corporator. Where is the so-called Heritage Committee that only makes a show of its concern for heritage structure when the structure collapses? This Committee must be disbanded and qualified people who are not political and have a genuine desire to ensure Mysuru retain its heritage status and is clean and well-managed, be appointed.
