Mysuru: Although the wireless and walkie-talkie systems which facilitated an instant communication link between the District and Taluk Administrations in times of crisis have gone dysfunctional for over an year, the authorities seem to be least bothered to get the vital communication system back on track.
The wireless and walkie-talkie systems at the Control Room in the DC office as well as in the Taluk office stopped working over a year ago. But the non-working of this communication system has hindered exchange of vital information in times of emergency.
