Mysore/Mysuru: With the works on drawing overhead cables for the 440 KV Hiriyur-Mysuru High Tension power grid being expedited, Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G.Sankar told farmer leaders that power line route cannot be altered at this stage.
Chairing a meeting with farmer leaders at his office here recently, Sankar said that the power line works started 19 months ago, but as the project failed to get momentum, State and Central government officials objected to the slow pace of works, following which measures have been taken to expedite the works, he added.
