Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. M. Dasegowda, Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and Special Officer of Dasara Poets Meet Sub-Committee has said that “Dasara poets meet will be held from Oct. 17 to 21 under various categories in the city.”
Addressing media persons recently at MCC, he said “The inauguration of Dasara Kavya Sambhrama is scheduled on Oct. 17 at Kalamandira. Noted poet Jayant Kaikini will inaugurate the meet while Chamaraja MLA K. Harishgowda will preside. Social Welfare and Mysuru District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa and litterateur K. Veerabhadrappa will be the chief guests. Comedy, limericks and folk songs singing programmes are also organised with Gururaj Mysore and Devanand Varaprasad troupes presenting them.”
