Mysore/Mysuru: Lions Club of Mysore South presented ‘Dakshina Kesari Kannada Sahitya Prashasthi - 2025’ to renowned Kannada writer Dr. Lavanya Prabha at a function held at Rotary Hall, JLB Road in city recently.
Ln. N. Subramanya, Immediate Past District Governor, Lions International, District 317 G, was the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, Subramanya lauded the Club for upholding a proud literary tradition by honouring outstanding Kannada writers for nearly 25 years through this award.
Dr. Lavanya is a truly deserving and distinguished contributor to Kannada literature, he said congratulating her for joining an illustrious league of eminent writers like Dr. Chandrashekar Kambara, Dr. S.L. Bhyrappa, Prof. Dejagow, T.N. Seetharam, Prof. Rajashekara, Prof. Krishna Murthy, Rajashekar Koti, Addanda Cariappa and Dr. Latha Rajashekar.
