Mysuru: A criminal, in the guise of a doctor, snatched a gold mangalya chain from an inpatient at a private hospital in city on Tuesday (Nov.14). The patient, who lost her gold mangalya chain worth about Rs. 1.5 lakh, has been identified as Sowmyashree, who was undergoing treatment as an inpatient at a private hospital in city. On Nov.14 at about 8.30 am, the miscreant, who came in the guise of a doctor began to check her with a stethoscope and made her to turn towards the wall and hold the stethoscope near her neck while he tried to adjust the gold mangala chain from falling on the stethoscope. In the process, the miscreant snatched away the gold mangalya chain and fled from the spot. A case has been registered at K.R. Police Station in this regard.
