Mysore/Mysuru: Panicked over increasing COVID-19 positive cases in city and also many hostel inmates testing positive for the deadly virus, students of National Institute of Engineering (NIE) on Manadawadi Road staged a silent protest, urging the authorities to postpone the exams.

The students, who assembled in front of the College, said that more than 30 hostel inmates had tested positive for COVID and there is a fear that others too may contract the virus. Stating that it has become difficult to stay in the hostel anymore, the students demanded the College authorities to postpone the examinations.
