Chamarajanagar: Chamarajanagar has earned the distinction of becoming the only Corona-free District in Karnataka and the district has maintained the distinction and has gained national attention too. Yesterday, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan called up Chamarajanagar Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. M.R. Ravi and congratulated him for maintaining a COVID-free status.
The Union Minister was particularly appreciative of the fact that Chamarajanagar has been able to achieve a Green status despite sharing borders with Tamil Nadu and Kerala where high incidents of COVID-19 are being reported day in and day out.
