Mysuru: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) and District Electoral Officer Abhiram G. Sankar has directed the Heads of various Departments to continue the services of outsourced drivers in their jurisdiction till the completion of Lok Sabha polls as they have already been deputed for election duty along with vehicles.
In a press release, the DC stated that some Department Heads had written to him seeking his permission to relieve some outsourced drivers from duty as their tenure ends on Mar.31, 2019. Services of those drivers whose term ends on this date can be continued till the election process is over, the DC stated.
