Mysore/Mysuru: Karnataka State Construction Workers and Quarry Workers Association (AIUTUC) staged a protest on Monday against the Government’s decision to release Rs. 433 crore from Karnataka State Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Fund to Slum Clearance Board. They demanded its withdrawal and also urged to fulfill their other demands.
The protestors, who gathered in front of Deputy Commissioner’s Office, also demanded that Rs. 2 lakh be paid directly to the Bank Accounts of construction workers who have applied for subsidy to construct their houses, as per rules.
