Dr. S.C. Nemichandra, Neurologist, JSS Hospital, will be honoured with the prestigious ‘Sushruta Award’ for his outstanding service beyond the call of duty by a doctor, at a programme organised by Bhramara Trust and JSS Mahavidyapeetha at Sri Rajendra Centenary Auditorium in JSS Hospital premises on M.G. Road in city tomorrow (Aug. 14) at 11.30 am. This is the first award under an Endowment instituted by the Bhramara Trust, Mysuru, to recognise the excellent service of medical professionals who demonstrate exceptional dedication, skill and compassion in patient care. The award carries a cash prize and a memento.
Prof. K. Vijayaraghavan, Fellow of the Royal Society and former Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, will be the chief guest. Dr. H. Basavanagowdappa, Vice-Chancellor, JSS AHER, R. Mahesh, Director, Medical Education, JSS Mahavidyapeetha and Dr. C.P. Madhu, Director, JSS Hospital, will be the guests of honour. Y.T. Madhuri Thathachari, Managing Trustee, Bhramara Trust, is the Endowment Donor of Sushruta Award.
