Mandya: A BJP leader from Mandya has lodged a complaint with the State Women's Commission, seeking action against PWD Minister H.D. Revanna for his alleged insulting remarks against actress Sumalatha, wife of late actor-turned-politician Ambarish.
In his complaint sent to the Women's Commission through Mandya Deputy Commissioner's Office, BJP leader C.T. Manjunath alleged that Revanna had questioned Sumalatha over her entry into politics just a couple of months after her husband’s death, which is an insult to womanhood. Besides the Minister was not apologetic for his remarks, Manjunath said and urged the Women's Commission to initiate legal action against Revanna.
