The Co-operation Department has asked all Co-operative Societies and Bodies to update information on appointment of Auditors for auditing their accounts for the year 2020-21. In a press release, the Department said that Societies must submit information to the Department on the appointment of an Auditor or auditing firm during their Annual General Body Meetings (AGMs), to the Department within 7 days. Also, the Societies are asked to submit a copy of the proceedings of the AGM, signed by the CEO or the President, at the office of the Joint Director (Audit) of Co-operative Societies located on Adichunchanagiri Road in Kuvempunagar.
The Department will take suitable action as per the provisions of Co-operative Societies Act, against defaulting Societies, according to a press release. For details, contact Ph: 0821-2521428.
