New Delhi: The Codava National Council (CNC) which has been peacefully agitating for Kodagu autonomy status in New Delhi on Nov. 1 every year since 1994, has this year extended the agitation to outside the French Embassy.
They held a protest yesterday at Sansad Marg (Parliament Street) and French Embassy in New Delhi to highlight the demand for autonomy and to express opposition to celebrations of Karnataka Rajyotsava Day since it was on this day, Kodava homeland, the then Part C State of India became part and parcel of Mysore State now Karnataka under State Re-organization Act, 1956.
