Devegowda will get a different portfolio and as a bonus, he is likely to be appointed as the District In-charge Minister, the mantle which he is likely to take over from the earlier all-powerful District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa during Siddharamaiah regime.
After the initial sulking soon after he was allocated the Higher Education portfolio, the miffed G.T. Devegowda (GTD) remained incommunicado and left his Vijayanagar First Stage residence in city to an undisclosed resort in Kodagu.
