Mysuru: Vivekananda Institute of Indian Studies, an initiative of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement and Swaralayam Arts Forum, Houston, USA, are jointly organising Karnatak Classical Music Competitions (both vocal and instrumental) on Oct.10 at 9.30 am for students in the age group of 13 to 22, at the Institute premises, CA-2, KIADB Industrial Housing Area, Ring Road, Hebbal, Mysuru - 570016.
The contestants will have to present a kruti along with a brief manodharma within eight minutes. Last date for registration is Oct.6. The winners will be awarded with cash prizes in the final concert tentatively in January 2019 on the occasion of 10th Annual Sulochana Pattabhiraman Utsavam.
