Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters of Academy of Martial Science, Mysuru, who participated in the MMA National Championship in Bubaneshwar, Orissa recently, have bagged a Silver and two Bronze medals for the State. Around 200 MMA fighters from 24 States participated in the championships. Results: Kavyashree: Bronze Medal-Female Straw Weight; Sathvik- Bronze Medal-Bantam Weight; Yashas- Silver Medal-Feather Weight; Darshan- Quarter Finalist-Fly Weight. Interestingly, Kavya is the first female MMA fighter from Mysuru to have achieved this feat for the second time in a row after Bengaluru open MMA Championships. They are trained by Kru.Vikram at AMS.
