City MMA fighters excel at Bangalore Open

Eleven fighters of Academy of Martial Science, representing Mysore Combat Sports Association (MCSA) in the Bangalore Open Mixed Martial Arts Championships (MMA Championships) held at SEA College Sports auditorium in Bengaluru between July 12 and 15, have bagged one gold, one silver and two bronze medals. The championship saw more than 250 MMA fighters from various States of India and few foreign fighters vying for the top spot. The event was organised by Association of Mixed Martial Arts Karnataka (AMMAK) under the aegis of All India Mixed Martial Arts Association (AIMMAA). The fighters are trained in MMA by Kru. Vikram at AMS. Results — N.P. Kiran - Light Weight Champion; S. Anand - Light Weight Bronze Medallist; M. Madhusudhan - Light Heavy Weight Bronze Medallist; Tharika Muthamma - Bantam Weight Silver Medallist - Female division while M.R. Darshan, M.S. Suhas, S. Shivakumar, L. Srihari, Allen Stephen Mekwan, H. Sachin, P.L. Pramod put up brave performances in various categories ranging from Straw to Welter weights.
