Mysuru: It was an hour of grief for Hunsur advocate N.P.R. Pawar when he lost his eldest son yesterday. However, in spite of this irreparable loss, the family of Pawar showed their presence of mind and donated the organs of the young man to Apollo Hospital.

Shiva Pawar (34), is the person who died. He was brought to the Apollo Hospital brain dead. Dr. Vinod Appaiah, General Manager (Operations), Unit Head, Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, speaking to Star of Mysore, said: “Apollo Hospital is recognised as a transplant centre. The patient was brought to the hospital brain dead.”
