Dr. B.N. Shiva Prasad, Consultant Rheumatologist and Dr. C. Shyamala, DNB Medicine, Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, presented a Rheumatology paper on the topic “Epidemiological profile of sarcoidosis in South Indian Scenario” at Korean Rheumatology Conference held in Seoul recently. This was a multi-centric study involving other two centres from Bengaluru and Dharwad. The study was about a rare disease called Sarcoid, which is a multiorgan disease characterized by non-necrotizing granuloma of the involved organ.
