Top rated player M.G. Gahan won the Championship. The Top 4 — FM M.G. Gahan, Mangaluru (8.5), Ithal H.L. Rajath, Shivamogga (7.5), L. Vivekananda, Mysuru (7.5) and AGM Prashanth J. Naik, Puttur (7) — will represent Karnataka in the upcoming National Chess Championship to be held in Jammu from Aug.1 to 7.
