Suresh (in pic), an alumnus of Ravivarma Art Institute, Mysuru, has been selected for the National Award instituted by Lalitha Kala Academy, New Delhi. Suresh’s painting titled ‘Civil War-2’ has been selected to be exhibited at the 58th National Exhibition of Art at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Bengaluru. The award carrying Rs. 1 lakh cash prize, citation and a certificate will be presented to him at a function to be organised at a private hotel in Bengaluru on Feb. 24 at 7.30 pm. Currently, Suresh is working as an Art Teacher in Government High School, Musuvinakoppal in T. Narasipur Taluk.
