Mysuru: The Zero Effect Zero Defect (ZED) initiative is in view of setting the global perspective of the Indian manufacturing as ZED quality goods, which will have the least impact on the environment, said Arjun Ranga, Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mysuru Chapter.
Speaking at the inaugural function of a five-day ZED Capacity Building Programme for MSMEs recently, he said: “We do not have a clear definition on Indian manufacturing in the global market like Japan or Germany for their excellent engineering skills and leadership in manufacturing. China has become low cost manufacturer in the World and 90 percent of manufacturing today happens in China.”
