The Sapient College of Commerce and Management, Mysuru, won the coveted title in the Chief Justice Hombegowda Memorial Gold Cup Inter-Collegiate Football Tourney 2018, conducted by the Department of Physical Education (DPE), University of Mysore (UoM), that concluded at the University Football Grounds here yesterday. Sapient College of Commerce and Management, Mysuru and Mysore Institute of Commerce and Arts (MICA), Mysuru, tied with five points each in the semi-final league, but Sapient College of Commerce and Management's better goal average than MICA enabled them to clinch the title. MICA, Mysuru secured the runners-up spot. PES, Mandya with four points secured third place and St. Joseph's FGC, Hassan with one point finished fourth.
