M.P. Ajith of Mysuru (Rating 1927), taking part in the Belagavi Open Rapid FIDE Rated Chess Tournament-2018 at Belagavi from May 19 to 20, won the title with 7.5 points from eight rounds on Sunday. Ajith won a cash prize of Rs.15,000 and a trophy. He had wins over Advaith Jingouda, Prabhu Trupti, Bhagwat, D. Gajanan, Dasari Dattreya Rao, Bhandari Nilesh and Anvekar Prashanth.
