Bengaluru: Even as Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa (BSY) asserted that he would remain the Chief Minister for the next two years of the current term of the Assembly, the BJP High Command is said to be mulling a change of guard in the State and the fate of Yediyurappa is likely to be decided on June 18.
Though the BJP High Command had recently clarified that Yediyurappa will remain the Chief Minister at least until the next election due in 2023, speculations are rife in political circles that the party High Command will be sending Karnataka Party In-charge Arun Singh to Bengaluru, for attending the BJP Legislature Party meeting to be called shortly. Arun Singh is said to be caught between the pro- and anti-Yediyurappa lobbies in the BJP camp.
