Mysore/Mysuru: Based on the Centre’s fresh guidelines on the extra-precautionary measures to be taken to stop the spread of the deadly Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G. Sankar has ordered closure of Chamundeshwari temple atop Chamundi Hill and Srikanteshwaraswamy temple at Nanjangud on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and all public holidays.

The Government had allowed re-opening of all places of worship, religious spots and spiritual centres from June 8 following relaxation in lockdown curbs and accordingly Chamundeshwari temple and Nanjangud temple opened for devotees.
