Mysuru: Intensifying its drive against power thefts, the CESC Vigilance Squad has collected a total of Rs.1,29,74,114 as power dues and penalties levied for unauthorised power use, in the months of January and February in its jurisdictional districts of Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu.
In Jan. 2019, CESC registered 132 cases, including 66 cases of power theft and 66 cases of power misuse and collected a penalty of Rs.66,62,187. In Feb. 2019, CESC registered 127 cases, including 61 cases of power theft and 66 cases of power misuse and collected a penalty of Rs.63,11,927 totalling Rs.1,29,74,114.
