In order to curb the spread of Lumpy Skin Disease among cattle, the District Administration has banned all cattle fairs that are scheduled to take place in the district in the period from Oct. 11 to Dec. 10 and also prohibited transportation of cattle in this two-month period. In order to prevent the spread of the disease, the Animal Husbandry Department has launched a vaccination drive in T. Narasipur, Saragur and K.R. Nagar taluks where the disease has broken out, according to a press release from Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Bagadi Gautham.
