Mysore/Mysuru: The Vidyaranyapuram Police on Oct. 8 have registered case against five persons, including Mysuru Taluk Tahsildar, a Village Accountant and a Revenue Inspector on charges of illegally registering Pouti Khata concerning a landed property worth crores of rupees, in the name of others.

Those booked are Mysuru Taluk Tahsildar, Revenue Inspector, Village Accountant Nagesh, Jayalakshmibai and Jayashri, residents of Anubhavanagar in Nagarabhavi Second Stage, Bengaluru. They have been charged under Sections 465, 468, 471 and 420 R/W section 34 of IPC, following a complaint lodged by B. Srikantappa of Vijayanagar in city and Director of Thirumalai Roller Flour Mills.
