The Department of Handlooms and Textiles has invited applications from handloom and powerloom weavers for availing financial assistance under Nekar Samman Yojana. Under the scheme, handloom, powerloom weavers and other workers engaged in weaving related works and activities, will get an annual financial aid of Rs. 5,000 through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The eligible handloom and powerloom weavers can apply at the Department office located in Chamarajendra Technical Institute (CTI) Building, Sayyaji Rao Road, along with all required documents, before Aug. 15.
