With filing of audited accounts every year having been made mandatory, the Co-operation Department had asked all Co-operative Societies and other Co-op. bodies, to file their annual returns without fail. As some of them have not complied with the order, the Office of Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies, based on a May 19, 2022 Department circular, has directed all Co-operative Societies which have defaulted for over five years on filing of their audited annual returns, to submit the same along with payment of one-time penalty, before Dec. 31, 2022.
