With many Co-operative Societies defaulting on sending the names of their Auditors /Auditing firms for verification of their Accounts (2024-25), to the Co-operation Department, in keeping with the rules, the Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies has asked such societies which have failed to submit the names of their Auditors/Auditing firms, to send the same within 7 days. Out of the total 2345 functioning Co-operative Societies in Mysuru district, only 1,372 have complied with the rules by sending the names of Auditors, while 973 societies are yet to send the same. Such defaulter societies have been asked to send names of their auditors/Auditing firms to the Department within 7 days, failing which the Dept. will make its own arrangement for audit of accounts of defaulter societies as per the Law.
