The Nanjangud CMC (City Municipal Council) has invited applications from building owners for sheltering destitutes and shelterless people of the town, under DAY-NULM scheme (DeendayalAntyodayaYojana- National Urban Livelihood Mission). The building should be an RCC one having a floor area of at least 1,200 sq.ft with all civic amenities and other facilities. The building should be available on a monthly/yearly rent basis. The CMC has also invited applications from voluntary organisations for third party scrutiny of shelterless and destitutes who sleep at bus shelters, temple premises, footpaths, complexes, Masjids etc., according to a press release issued by Nanjangud CMC Commissioner.
