The Kannada and Culture Department has asked artistes from the district who are receiving monthly pension or widow pension from the District Treasury, to re-register with the Department by producing the necessary documents, as the pension will be henceforth given by the Kannada and Culture Department. The artistes are required to produce copies of Aadhaar card, Election ID Card, Ration Card, Caste Certificate and Bank Passbook along with the filled- in application form at the Department Office located in Kalamandira by Aug. 7.
