Mysuru: A 14-year-old boy from Nanjangud taluk, who slipped into coma after undergoing an ear surgery at K.R. Hospital on Nov.21, continues to be in a critical condition.
Abhi, 14 of Kadabur in Nanjangud taluk was admitted to K.R. Hospital for an ear ailment on Nov.20 and underwent an operation the following day (Nov.21). Before the operation, Abhi was given anaesthesia and during the course of surgery the boy was administered an injection to prevent excessive bleeding. But later, the boy suffered a heart attack and was shifted to the hospital ICU, where he slipped into coma following a brain hemorrhage on Nov. 22 despite the best efforts of the doctors to revive him. Now, two days after slipping into coma, Abhi remains to be critical.
